  34. Can anyone tell me what has happened to Oscar 21? I am just getting into
  35. satellite communications but do not have all the proper equipment as
  36. yet. However I did enjoy listening to AO-21 during its pass but haven't
  37. heard anything from it for over a week. Can anyone help?

  39. I have just purchased a Yaesu FT-726R and need to either build or
  40. purchase my antenna's, but at least with the equipment I have now I
  41. could copy Oscar 21 quite well. Any help with this situation would be
  42. appreciated.

  58. Unfortunatly AO-21 has gone silent transponder. I have been in 
  59. contact with Peter Guelzow the control operator for the Amateur part 
  60. of AO-21 and he is at a loss as to what the trouble might be.
  61. I understand that thermal and attitude control was abandoned 
  62. several weeks ago, after the last scheduled experiments were
  63. completed. This is a tragic loss to the amateur satellite community,
  64. as you noted it was a great place for the newcomer to get 
  65. started. It may be as simple as a pointing problem since the 
  66. attitude is no longer under control. If you want to ask for more
  67. detail Peter can be e-mailed at db2os@amsat.org. I am particularly
  68. sorry to see this bird go as we had a major expedition counting
  69. on using it while in the arctic. Sorry to bring sad tidings

  106. You may have experienced one of the times when the transponder is turned off. 
  107. I don't have the schedule in front of me, but there will be some times when it 
  108. is off due to the Earth eclipsing the satellite. I haven't been on mode B for 
  109. a while, so I can't tell you what happened to the "Blimey Limey".

  119. Warren just read your mail on the Hamsat Handbook and it seem like that
  120. is the perfect thing I am looking for. However, did you give the correct
  121. date for the "up to date" information of Feb. 1993? If this is incorrect
  122. could you please give the correct up to date information. If this date
  123. was correct then I will just wait to purchase a copy at a later date.

  125. Also I will ask you since you seem to be interested in satellites, what
  126. has happened to AO-21? I am just getting into satellite communications
  127. and don't have all the proper equipment as of yet but I use to enjoy
  128. listening to Oscar 21 but haven't heard a peep out of it in over a week.

  156. Try sizing the window larger. If this does not work, check your video driver
